My work is situated in critical theory and social and political philosophy, with a particular focus on the concept of freedom and its relation to law, society, and subjectivity. I have a background in critical theory, German Idealism, law, and psychoanalysis. Engagement with Hegel’s philosophy—especially his account of freedom, law, and Ethical Life—has been central in shaping my research trajectory. My work is concerned with critically reassessing these ideas in light of contemporary historical conditions, and with exploring what present-day theories of freedom, morality, and law may gain from a renewed engagement with Hegelian thought.
